Skan Bodywork Movement Class

This movement practice is a key part of Skan Reichian Bodywork.

Reich, a student of Freud, was the first modern Psychotherapist to recognize a hundred years ago that inner conflicts are also held and expressed in the body. The body, given encouragement and the opportunity to move spontaneously, can express and resolve those inner conflicts and release the energy that is bound up within them.

The movement practice I offer makes use of the body’s natural feeling-response to music and rhythm. With directions to breathe, or move, or become aware of the body in certain ways, an openness of mind and body is reached that creates a sense of wellbeing and connection.

Classes will be Wednesday evenings, 19:00 to 21:00, starting 30/7/25, at Copperdot Studio in Norwich (£15 per session for the introductory six sessions)
